Yager's Flies has teamed with a local Kansas Bamboo craftsman, Curt Elder, to bring you the finest of 100% handcrafted Bamboo fly rods. Once you cast an Elder Bamboo, you will be as excited as we were. They are a dream and affordable!
Elder Rods are handcrafted for anglers who wish to experience the smoothness and accuracy of a split bamboo fly rod on their favorite waters. The cane for each rod is selected, hand split, and planed for continuity of power fibers and maximum strength.
I offer a selection of "Standard" model rods that I have developed to provide smooth progressive actions to suit a variety of applications. In addition I can also develop or incorporate a specific taper to suit your preference.
